Smoke is a symbolic and alchemical merging of the elemental forces of earth, fire and air. Archetypally and Astrologically air represents intellect and ideas, fire symbolizes passion and intuition and earth speaks to matter and the physical world. Many traditions believe that when we create smoke with intention and reverence we can cleanse and purify ourselves, our minds and our sacred spaces, honoring and creating pathways for connection to the Divine.  

​Our Earth is experiencing a time of much imbalance with our elemental forces. Wildfires, Drought, Hurricanes and extreme weather events bring these elements into focus in a very real way. We could all bring a little more intention to how we engage with the living earth and the elemental forces. When lighting this incense, consider sending  a little gratitude to each of the elements for all of the many amazing and miraculous ways they shape and mold our planet, our community  and ourselves.

This Sanctuary Incense is crafted in small batches using essential oils, makko and joss sticks with loving presence.  No chemical binders or preservatives are used.  Burn time is about 45 minutes.
