Telling Stories

While collecting flowers for market bouquets, a sweet little Sun-Heart floral offering revealed itself as the tender Cancerian Sun hugged my Venus and crossed my Ascendant yesterday... reaching towards our second full moon in Capricorn with a Venus-day gift.

Life is so rich with meaning and playful pathways to understanding... The astrology can be quite literal and deeply symbolic. My curiosity is endless!

Lots of stories are swirling these days that would have us think we don’t belong to each other, that we don't live in a deeply mystical reality… that we should fear each other and the planet and the future….

It can be helpful to view these as stories, myths, tales….symbolic in many ways, while very real and scary in other ways. I am in no way minimizing the great pain and suffering and insecurity in the world by exploring the mythic energetic of it. But it seems important to honor the depth and complexity of epic moments in history and how we are living this now story together.

These stories gain power when we identify with them as the only fixed reality, when we hand over our authority to the external narratives that dominate the airwaves. There is always more to the stories.

It can also be helpful to remember we are the authors of our story and we must take responsibility for how we participate in this living mythology. An alternative to picking a side and judging each other based on the narratives that are bombarding our consciousness, could be to edit the story in alignment with our own values, our own truth through respectful dialogue, intentional listening... to write this now story together….asking questions, wondering why, getting curious about what we are not understanding...

…we could co-create a new tale… Bravely and curiously honoring that we belong to each other and all the many beings on this beautiful planet, first and foremost.

It is an intentional choice to remember the miracle and wonder of this beautiful life whenever we can.

But It’s really not so hard if we try…

What a gift this present is.
